So I'm trying out the Sell-a-band service...seems pretty interesting.  You sign up as a band, and people who "believe" in you can buy a share in your future for a minimum of $10 per share.  Once the band reaches $50,000 in believer support, they'll pay for you to record a demo.  Seems fun, and nothing to lose until you make the $50,000.
